Episode 236 - Jaime Ojeda Selamé, Chilean beer expert
Happy Monday, Thieves! The beer world is ever expanding and now and again we find it helpful to check in with brewers and writers from other countries to find out what's happening in their neck of the woods. On a recent Monday we ventured to a small craft brewery in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey because Holl's old friend Jaime Ojeda Selamé was visiting from Chile and wanted to check out some breweries.
It just so happened that the brewery was Carton and the name sake, Augie was there. Casse happened to be around as well, so we recorded a very special episode. Jaime is a writer, brewer, bar owner, and professional beer judge and was able to dill us in on what's happening with the Chilean beer scene and how it's grown over the last few years but is still very much in the shadow of wine.
For the black glass he brought one beer that once again proved that you just can't help but respect the classics.
